da bet nacional: Thomas Frank is rapidly becoming a man under pressure at Tottenham Hotspur, with the first-team massively falling below the expectations set out by the hierarchy.
da betcris: The Dane was appointed as the club’s new manager with the hope of taking the club up the Premier League after Ange Postecoglou was dismissed from the role.
However, the 52-year-old has come under huge fire in recent weeks after failing to get the desired results, as seen by the current run of just one win in the last eight games across all competitions.
Saturday’s defeat at home to relegation-threatened West Ham United could prove to be the final nail in the coffin for the Dane, with members of the board starting to lose faith in him already.
However, the big question on the lips of all fans is who would replace Frank should he depart, but that could be about to be answered with the latest rumours in North London.
Spurs make Premier League boss their top target to replace Frank
Should Frank be sacked from his current managerial role at Spurs, numerous managers will no doubt be touted with a move, with Oliver Glasner one who could be an interesting option.
The Crystal Palace manager announced he would be leaving the Eagles at the end of the campaign, but his departure could be brought forward after his outburst following the recent defeat at Sunderland.
He has previously been linked with the managerial role in North London, which could make for a potential appointment in the immediate and long-term future.
However, he’s not the only Premier League manager currently in the hierarchy’s sights, with Brighton and Hove Albion boss Fabian Hürzeler another option being considered at present.
According to Football Insider, the Lilywhites have made the German their top target to replace the Dane should he be sacked from the role in the near future.
The report also states that the 32-year-old has impressed members of the Spurs board with his tactical ability and pressures that come with managing in England’s top flight.
It also confirms that the 4-2-3-1 manager, who is under contract until the summer of 2027, could be tempted by the opportunity of moving on to a new project, should it be an exciting one.
Why Hurzeler would be the perfect Frank upgrade
Away from the aforementioned Premier League managers, other options have also been considered in recent times, with former boss Mauricio Pochettino also touted with the job.
The Argentine previously spent five and a half years in the role in North London, but he was sacked back in 2019, with the 53-year-old even managing Chelsea in that period.
However, despite being removed from the role numerous years ago, he’s been earmarked as one option that could fill the void if Frank is dismissed anytime soon.
It has been reported that any deal for the former manager would likely be in the summer, with Pochettino set to lead the USA national team at the 2026 World Cup this summer.
As a result, an interim manager would likely be appointed to bridge the gap, but a move for Hurzeler could bring about an immediate and swift managerial appointment.
Whilst a deal would undoubtedly require a compensation fee to be paid, it’s one that could set the club up for many years to come given the manager’s tender age.
However, when comparing his stats to those of Frank from the 2025/26 campaign, the Brighton boss has massively outperformed him, even doing so with a much smaller budget.

Such a record shows the German’s ability to get the most out of his playing squad, that’s despite having less money and lower quality players currently at his disposal.
He’s also achieved a better point per game record, whilst managing a better win rate in 2025/26, further highlighting his impressive work at the AMEX in recent months.
The Seagulls boss has also conceded fewer goals in England’s top-flight this season, whilst scoring the same amount in one fewer match, which showcases his ability to impress at both ends of the pitch.
At this stage, it’s unclear if the Spurs hierarchy are going to part ways with Frank, but it’s evident that he could be a man on borrowed time after the recent run of results.
As for Hurzeler, he could prove to be a phenomenal replacement for the Dane in North London, with the hierarchy now having a huge decision to make on the managerial position.
